Praying Parents (FFE) is a Christian outreach and encouragement ministry to the public school educator. Our first effort is in the Highland Park Independent School District. There approximately 700 educators are being influenced by the message of Jesus Christ through Praying Parents (FFE).

Why should families pray for educators? Good question, but hopefully a question you can easily answer. Today, in public education your child spends more waking hours with his public school teachers, 5 days per week, than he spends with you. School starts at 8 am and ends at 3:30, that adds up to 7 1/2 hours. Assuming your child sleeps 8 hours and spends one hour on grooming and chores, that leaves 7 1/2 hours. This time usually is divided between breakfast, dinner, homework, extra curricular activities and you. You usually get the short end.

In order to influence these influencers, Praying Parents (FFE) we pray for these educators, we talk with them, we provide them an excellent outing in the form of an appreciation dinner every other year, and various parents do take additional personal steps.  Some of these steps include building a more personal relationship, Bible study involvement, sharing the gospel, and discipleship.

  • This ministry has significant multiplication benefits.  Over 10 years look at the impact 700 educators have on students.  If 4000 students come through the school system in any one district in any one year, then 40,000 students are impacted by these teachers.

  • Consider the eternal issues with these numbers!
