Praying Parents (Families for Educators)

A Message from the National Director

As a Christian here on earth, you and I do not spend the time we should involved in matters that count for eternity. I am a very selfish person, who would much rather spend my time doing exactly what I want to when I want to do it.

The ministry of Praying Parents (Families for Educators) is a simply and easy one for you to participate in. First, I take or adopt a teacher or educator and agree that at each meal time our family is gathered around the table, we will lift up this educator to the King as we are giving thanks for our food. Time wise, this has got to be a minimal commitment for you or me. Second, I agree to contact by phone, or in person, or by letter, this educator. I commit to make contact only once by one of the previously mentioned methods. I tell him we pray for him regularly and because of this I ask if there is anything specific I can pray for him or her about. Third, and finaly, if my family desires to do anything more for this educator that can impact him/her for the Lord Jesus, then we do so.

God tells me, "you are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes." "Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom." May you and I do those things in our daily schedule that will last for eternity.
